Just Believe.....

Today I made a card for a friend who sadly lost his Father after a long illness...I had previously made a sympathy card to send, but my friends wife asked me if I could possibly make a thankyou card for him to send to the hospital staff.....I have used the 'Just Believe' set which can be used for so many different occasions. The base card stock is River Rock, and the image is stamped on Vanilla Cardstock using, River Rock, Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette markers. Matted on Early Espresso Card stock.

Never Ending Card.......well almost!

After our recent Stampin' Up! get together, I felt inspired to have a go at a 'never ending card'....one of my fellow demonstrators , Becki, had shown us how to make one, and I also followed a wonderful video on You Tube, by an American demo called Tami.  My first card used Tempting Turquoise as the base cardstock. Designer paper is Play date.

On opening this up, the first page is then more of the Play Dates paper, (although all are small pieces...ie scraps) and I used 2 of the Sale-a bration Punch Stamps.

The third page is more paper! and the sentiments are again from the wonderful Sale a bration ' So Happy for You' set.  Small hearts cut from the heart to heart punches.

Finally I punched various circles out and again used remaining bits of the designer paper. Nice and Cheerful!
Following on from this, one of my colleagues at work asked if I would make her a card for her sister, who is soon celebrating her 60th birthday....Using certain celery, daffodil delight and pumpkin pie card stock and the greenhouse gala paper, I came up with the following card...............
Sentiment from 'Just Believe stamp set' - 3/8" taffeta ribbon in daffodil delight and pumpkin pie.
'Just Believe ' stamps coloured with daffodil delight, pumpkin pie and old love markers, sentiment from Sale-a-bration 'So Happy for You' set.
Flowers stamped and punched from Level 1 Punch Potpourri set, coloured using inkpads and blender pen, basic pearls add a perfect highlight. rub ons used for 'sister' and 60 and used various stampin up punches to showcase this.. (small oval, oval, scalloped oval, designer label and modern label - extra large)

Finally used sentiments from Level 1 Hostess Set 'Afterthoughts' and stamped images from Ornate Flowers stamp set.  I had great fun making these, you need to be careful with your cutting and scoring but its worth it when you see the end results!!

So Happy for you!!.......Sale-a-bration

Sorry, it has been so long since my last post......we have had a couple of busy weeks in our house, our daughter India was 16 last week, the next day was my *! birthday and then tomorrow, Alex, our son is 18!!
In between all that was a fabulous day down in Peterboro' with my upline Monica and her team (over 50 of us present!) crafting and swapping ideas all day.....what bliss!!
However, back to this week, and on Thursday evening 8 lovely ladies came around to my house to see what Stampin' Up! is all about, and what better time, than when we have the fabulous offers with sale-a-bration!
We made a quick card using the 'So Happy for you!" set.....not just a sentiment set, as I first thought, the small shaped stamps are perfect for creating your own backgrounds....which my ladies did!  We used the brights set primarily, but Pear Pizazz crept in on the good luck card as well!

So many uses from 1 stamp set, which you can have FREE when you place an order with me for £45 not including p&p before 28/2/11....if you've not stamped before and need some help coordinating what you can order to get you started for £45, email me and I'll be happy to provide some ideas!
