Valentine Swap...

Last Tuesday night was our monthly team meeting, and our theme was 'Valentines' ...so armed with my swaps which India and I had busily put together over New Year, I journeyed across to meet up with my Upline Monica, and several ladies from her team.  This is the card swap that I had designed
Using a basic but striking combination of real red, very vanilla and basic black card stock, I used one of the lovely stamps from the 'Love You Much' set, this was coloured in using the markers, with the 'V' glazed using crystal effects and the flower accented with a basic rhinestone.  The flower with its 'heart' petals was made using the scalloped circle punch, which I edged with cherry cobbler, a smaller flower, real red brad and basic black striped grosgrain completed our card. After swapping with 5 lovely ladies, we then made 3 separate projects which I would love to share with you.

Using the Sale-a-bration Bliss set....never would have thought that this would be my favourite!!...and the distressing kit!!

A sweet little heart pouch made from designer series paper and some ribbon, perfect for holding some special choccies!!!!

Where would we be without a mention of Paris......this card, made using Melon Mambo as its base and the Artistic Etchings stamp set, the cute little envelope is made from the petal card punch .

Thanks to Monica for these 3 and to Jo, Joanne, Louise and Jane for your swaps and an enjoyable evening!!

Ornate Flowers.....another birthday..

A bit later than planned, I have another card to share , it was my Mother-in-Laws birthday last week and I chose to use the Ornate Flowers set to make my card. Colour combo is Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz the ribbon is the rich razzleberry taffeta teamed with certain celery....finally I accented the main flower with 3 pearls graduated in size.  Will be back soon.....mid GCSE and A level exams at the moment for my children so a bit stressed out...thank goodness for card making!

Cards, Cards and.....More Cards!!

January is rather a busy month in my calendar, as I have 5 family birthdays, 2 friends birthdays and 2 wedding anniversaries....so I wanted to share with you some of the cards I have made already...
This is the card I made for my best friend Jules, and I used the Printed Petals stamp set, card stock and ink was Daffodil Delight, Regal Rose and Early Espresso, with a little bit of bling using the Rhinestones.

On the same day 1st January, it was the Wedding Anniversary of both my parents in law and sister in law, married on the same day, just 37 years apart!!  I loved making these cards and used the level 1 hostess set Punch Potpourri  with the flowers then punched out using the Boho Blossoms punch set, leaves and plant pots courtesy of the Bird Punch and Ornament Punch!! (Thankyou to Julie, another of Monicas Team for the inspiration on this one!). Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal and Rich Razzleberry were the colours used and I used my aqua painter to colour in the centre of the blooms.....pearls this time added that little bit extra!
And finally for today, this is the card I sent to one of my other wonderful Sister In Laws, who with my brother hosted 14 of us for boxing day and the 27th!!....We had such a good time and she deserved a special thankyou....
Marina Mist and Old Olive Card stock on Early espresso card blank..Flower stamped and decoupaged on Very Vanilla using another Level 1 hostess Set 'Because I care'  ....Twill tape added a twist....I have cheated and used 2 old olive buttons from my retired stock, but could just as easily have replaced these using beautiful buttons from the brights selection.....  That's it for now, more in a day or so!!

So Happy for You...Sale-a-bration set...

Well, I've had chance to have a little play with one of the yummy sale-a-bration sets, and this is the card that I made
I used one of the flower bloom heads, and randomly stamped in melon mambo, I then made a mask using a post it note and then stamped over with marina mist.  The centres of the blooms were then filled in using pretty in pink and bashful blue, and leaves randomly stamped and coloured in using a water pen and certainly celery ink.  The plant pot is the contempo christmas bauble stamped in bashful blue, and the card is then matted and layered on whisper white and certainly celery cardstock, embellished with some certainly celery ribbon.  I then glazed with the crytsal efffects which  I am not 100% sure about!!  It was great fun to make and shows the versality of this lovely set!
