Trendy Trees Pocket Bag - May class

Following on from a day, glued to the television!! as promised I am able to share with you details of my May Class. I have used the Trendy Tree Stamp Set, and of course the 'couldn't be without' stamp-a-ma-jig and also the Funky Forest wheel...I was inspired by a very talented Australian Demo called Marelle Taylor, who in turn had used an idea for the Pocket Tote bag courtesy of Liam Pucher and Julie Buhler, 2 other wonderful demos!!! They have happily allowed me to 'case' their ideas, and I am truly grateful for that. This is my May class:
A Cute bag to give as a gift with cards inside

Never Ending Card ...take 3!!!

I was asked by a lady I work with to make a 21st birthday card as a Never Ending Card for her friends daughter.....I had previously made 2 others like this, (see earlier posts), and although love making them, they are rather time consuming!!!

Saturday of course was another glorious day so India and I sat in the garden, whilst Alex was playing, and scoring in a football match!!...and Dave was supporting of course...
I chose the colours, Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso, and used a combination of stamp sets including 'Simply Said', 'Crazy for Cupcakes' and 'On a Pedestal'.....cheated a bit with one of the sentiments as it was from one of this years fab sale-a-bration sets..Hope she likes it!!!

Will be back tomorrow with details of my May Class, using the 'Trendy Trees Set'.....bye for now. Ali  x

Scrapbooking for a change!!

Last Sunday afternoon India and I decided to have a go at a Mini Scrapbook.......Alex my son was 18 back in February and so we decided to use photos from his party (themed black and red) as a basis for our project!!

We made the scrapbook as a Mini Trifold Shutter Album, using Very Vanila Card Stock as our base, matting with Basic Black and Riding Hood Red cardstock, and using the fabulous 'Love Letter' Designer Series Paper. I used my new Big Shot to cut the top note for the front cover and the Alphabet Dies too!....Artistic Etchings Stamp Set provided my 'key to the door!' and I couldn't help but use the gorgeous 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon....pictures are before photos included and then below the finished album.

Can't believe that's our little boy and girl on the left!!!!
This was so much fun to make and a really lovely keepsake .......I hope to design a class around this in the near future and hopefully offer the kit by post as well!!

Family Celebrations....and a couple of cards!

Yesterday was Dave and I's 20th Wedding Anniversary, and we share our special day with my brother in laws birthday....2 years ago we had a big family celebration at my sisters on this day, and I then made a card to thank my sister, using my first purchase from Stampin' Up!, the 'All in the Family Set'...so I wanted to share with you my first labour of love!!

If you know this set at all, you will realise that you get to choose all the heads, bodies, legs etc separately. I made masks using post it notes to be able to position people in front of each other....the one tool I didn't have at the time, which would have been a great help was the stamp-a-ma-jig both to line arms and legs up and put glasses on faces!!!
Next is the card I made for my Brother in Laws birthday yesterday, and I used a set I haven't crafted with for a while - Trendy Trees...colour combo is Old Olive, Early Espresso and Pumpkin Pie...I have also texturised the early espresso card using the new BIG SHOT embossing folders.. I love them!!
Then onto our Wedding Anniversary card.....well I just had to try out the new Owl Punch....India and I had a lot of fun making this one, and she even made glasses for Dave!! The 2 step bird punch was used for the leaves and the scallop circle added to the Owl punch to make the wings.....Out with the embossing plates again this time, I texturised the card front by placing half of the card blank inside the folder....how easy is that!
A couple of close ups just to show a bit more detail.....hope you all have a great day...

THE MINI HAS ARRIVED!!!!

I have been so excited this week waiting to share our fabulous Mini Catalogue with you all, and today we can finally go public!!!!
It's my first catalogue launch as a Demonstrator, and I have to admit I have had the catalogue by my bedside every night for the last month, trying to narrow down my list, as I cannot possibly buy everything!!! So where do we start, well not only have we got even more gorgeous stamp sets (lots for Men too!), luscious papers and embellishment, fabulous punches, and YES the OWL punch has arrived!!!  BUT on top of all that we've got the BIG SHOT...yeah!!! and with it some fabulous dies and embossing folders, some of which are exclusive to Stampin' Up!  Please click on the link on the left of the page to have a look in more detail.... I managed to play with 2 sets prior to the launch, one project I will share with you later next week, as I am using it for my swaps at a training session!  The other was a card I made for my Mum for her birthday, and then a card I made for my other Mum, my wonderful Stampin' Up! Mummy Monica, who bless her sadly lost her Mum this week, just before Monicas birthday...we all love you Monica and are thinking of you.......
Both cards use the new Build a Blossom Stamp Set, and the coordinating punch, so easy to use...colour combo above is Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant, and Certainly Celery, my other combination uses Regal Rose and Melon Mambo, again softly offset against Certainly Celery.  Dazzling Diamonds helped give a little sparkle!!  Hope you enjoy looking at the catalogue, if you would like to place an order please email me at alisonwilkins656@yahoo.co.uk
